"There is No Free Parking in NJ" Monday, cont'd

Parking is insanely expensive here. Like $9 an hour. Reason #7022 why not to get a car here. So when Brad and I drove on the NJ side (NYC & NJ are like 2 miles apart) to see the Statue of Liberty, and he asked how much parking was, I said "It's probably free." And we laughed and laughed. Because there is no free parking in New York.
Turns out, however, there is free parking at the Statue of Liberty after 4pm. Brad and I high-fived each other and were like "No Way!" As we pulled into the parking lot, I said, "Wouldn't it suck if the reason parking is free after 4pm is because no more ferries to the Statue of Liberty run after 4pm?"
The ferries quit running at 4:30.
We got there at 5.
Awesome.
Oh well.
There really is no free parking in NJ.
