Barbeque Pork Chops

So tonight after the Sunflower adventure, i decided to barbeque. Now, I have barbequed before using a gas grill, and using my little charcoal grill with a ready-light briquette thing. But never really with real briquettes and lighter fluid. I learned a couple things:

1- Stacking the charcoal in a pyramid is very important

2- Do not boil the rice while you go start the charcoal. The rice will boil much faster, and the pan will be brown when you come back inside.

3- Marinating is an important aspect to this grilling thing. (Although, really, they weren't too bad.)

Smiles!

For all of you that were not fortunate enough to be BORN in the great nation of TEXAS and are amature BBQers like my daughter....you do NOT use lighter fluid for your charcoal. A simple device called a charcoal chimney is used to quickly light your charcoal and there is NO lighter fluid used so consequently there is no lighter fluid taste in your food. A few crumpled up pieces of newspaper shoved in the bottom of the device with the charcoal loaded in the top portion is all you do. Simply light the newspaper and the wind and the chimney effects do the rest. Charcoal will be hot in about 15 minutes. Your welcome from the native Texican! Dad

What would we do without "father knows best" advice?? Probably burn down your new apartment with the use of lighter fluid and make Brad homeless!!!
